from the mainframe or central server, from the sales
data being collected at Point of Sale.

Information in the LossPREVENTION system must be accurate,
complete, timely, verifiable, meaningful and accessible.
A system/enterprise view of this information is essential
- the information from the system is only as good as
the data it can acquire. An important feature
of Aspect’s solutions approach is the integration
of all required components, to ensure that the data
feeding the LossPREVENTION system meets the above qualifications.
DataBridge™
In order to integrate data from a variety of POS systems
(Fujitsu-ICL, IBM, NCR, and other vendors) and deliver
them in a format that other applications can use, Aspect
provides a reformat application tailored to the retailer's
specific transaction data formats. The major POS
formats are supported, so store transactions can be
interpreted correctly for acceptance and storage by
LossPREVENTION.
Integration
with Existing Systems
Aspect has acquired ICL’s entire North American
support staff with it’s long history of successful
solution integration with existing heterogeneous IT
infrastructures; in fact, Aspect specializes in collecting,
transporting, and using data from a variety of platforms,
from the point of sale to the corporate information
systems.
